Environmental Services: Asbestos and Lead Services ASBESTOS DES has trained and certified asbestos inspectors, who inspect for the presence of asbestos in buildings. Surveying includes a review of building records and a visual inspection in order to identify, document, and inventory materials suspected of containing asbestos. DES can collect pre-abatement air or bulk samples for asbestos analysis. Samples are then sent to a state certified laboratory for confirmation.

LEAD BASED PAINT DES has trained staff to perform lead based paint surveys, in-place management and air quality monitoring. DES also provides soil sampling programs for properties that contain exterior lead based paint. The goal is to determine hazard and impact assessment, providing Clients with an up-front picture about the environmental liabilities of the property and potential abatement and remediation costs. If abatement or remediation is necessary, DES will provide contractor oversight.
