Emergency Response and Contingency Planning
Many facilities
in the public and private sector use, generate, treat, store, and/or dispose of
regulated hazardous materials and wastes, including petroleum products,
chemicals, and Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs). These companies face potential
liabilities if they are not prepared to respond quickly to natural and manmade
disasters involving any of these materials.
DES has
prepared RCRA Emergency Response and Contingency Plans, Spill Prevention Control
and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans for a multitude of industrial and commercial
