Managing
compliance in today's regulatory setting has become a complex exercise,
involving an increasing number of regulations that affect an increasing number
of companies and entities. The federal environmental regulations, as set forth
in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), now total more than 10,000 pages, with
revised and additional regulations being promulgated on a continuous basis. In
